We are seeking an ambitious Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team on a commission basis, with the potential to transition into a base + commission structure after meeting initial performance targets.
Position Overview:As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will play a key role in expanding our client base by setting and managing appointments, engaging leads, and guiding them through the early stages of the sales process. You'll leverage our ATS/CRM system to manage leads, send follow-up email cadences, and reach out to prospects on LinkedIn. This role is ideal for someone with experience in B2B or B2C sales who excels in relationship-building and consultative selling, particularly in the tech and professional services sectors.
Key Responsibilities:Lead Engagement & Appointment Setting: Use our ATS/CRM to manage leads, set appointments, and initiate the sales pipeline. Effectively communicate the value of our career coaching services to tech industry candidates and job seekers.
Discovery & Sales Calls: Conduct discovery calls to understand clients' career goals and needs, followed by an initial sales call to present our services and offerings. Qualify leads and guide them toward conversion.
Follow-Up Email Cadences & LinkedIn Outreach: Create and send email follow-up cadences to engage prospects, answer queries, and handle objections. Additionally, use LinkedIn to connect with and nurture potential clients, sending personalized messages to build relationships.
Lead Nurturing & Conversion: Develop a strategy for nurturing leads through various channels, with the goal of reaching 30 new clients and transitioning into a base salary + commission model.
Pipeline Management & Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all lead interactions, appointments, and conversions in the ATS/CRM system.
Sales Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a BDR, sales, or client engagement role, ideally within the tech, professional services, or recruiting industries.
Strong Communication & Relationship-Building Skills: Ability to engage and build rapport with prospective clients, both through email and LinkedIn messaging.
Familiarity with CRM/ATS Systems: Experience using CRM or ATS platforms (e.g., Zoho, Salesforce, or similar) for lead tracking, follow-ups, and pipeline management.
Tech Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the tech industry, especially roles in software engineering, ML/AI, and data science, is a plus.
Self-Motivated & Target-Oriented: Proven ability to work independently, meet targets, and take initiative in a commission-based environment.
