Business Development Representative Sales Lakeville, NY, USSalary Range: $65,000.00 To $85,000.00 AnnuallyLocation: Greater Rochester NY region Olean NY/Jamestown NY regionJoin the Livonia, Avon & Lakeville Railroad Team as a Business Develop Representative. The Railroad has been serving our freight customers with pride and distinction since 1965 and we are looking for someone with a creative mindset, excellent communication skills, and a track record of delivering results to help advance our companies. We have offices in Lakeville and Olean, NY.Position Overview: This role is responsible for developing and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies to retain customers, attract new customers, drive revenue growth, and enhance the companys marketing position.Business Development:Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to support the overall goals and objectives of our railroads. Identify and pursue new business opportunities. Conduct market research to identify industry trends and competitor capabilities. Prepare and present compelling sales proposals and presentations. Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to maximize profitability.Marketing and Branding:Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote the companys services and brand. Create marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, and website content. Manage social media and digital marketing initiatives. Organize and participate in industry events and trade shows.Customer Relationship Management:Develop meaningful relationships and genuine connections with existing customers. Provide exceptional customer service and support, to include proactively assessing, clarifying and validating their needs on a regular basis. Address customer issues promptly and professionally with practical and effective solutions. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities.General Duties:Provide monthly updates on marketing activities and results for senior management. Develop and maintain strong positive relationships with key stakeholders, including industry partners, media outlets, community leaders and influencers. Develop knowledge and proficiency in railroad trends and best practices to continuously improve and innovate marketing efforts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and understand target audiences and community opportunities.Qualifications:RequiredHigh school diploma or greater, 4-year college education/degree preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects at a time while maintaining attention to details. Strong listening, negotiation and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
