Job Description:
The Business Development (BD) Specialist will assist the Business Development/Sales leader with sales functions and support the extended Business Development strategies to grow new business revenue. This primarily includes building relationships with channel partners and prospects, conducting solution demonstrations, supporting the development of proposals, gathering market intelligence, and coordinating Business Development meetings, among other activities. The BD Specialist will partner with cross-functional areas of the organization to ensure sales production activities meet or exceed specific performance standards. Hybrid Schedule: The first 90 days will require full-time in-office attendance. Following a successful training period, this role will report to the office on a hybrid schedule Monday and Wednesday with an occasional 3rd day as needed. Hours will be 8-4:30 with the exception of travel days, conferences, etc. where those hours may vary.Essential Functions
    • Provide proactive sales outreach, strategically advancing both cold and warm leads.
    • Provide timely coordinated responses to prospects, channel partners, and client sales inquiries.
    • Conducted solution presentations in person and virtually as needed to inform and advance leads.
    • Coordinate, attend, and represent Telligen at trade shows.
    • Coordinate sales meetings and follow-ups. Ensure all correspondence is documented in the sales database in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Ensure outbound sales calls and sales and marketing materials meet company guidelines and standards.
    • Provide resources and support to meet defined sales goals.
    • Assist in proposal and presentation development.
    • Organize and maintain the sales database with updated opportunity sizing and status information.
    • Recommend and suggest ways to achieve closed wins.
    • Make recommendations for improvement and efficiencies to enable the Company to reach its strategic goals.
    • Partner with leadership and Marketing team to create, refine, and distribute messaging and collateral.
    • Maintain the Company's profile on various externally hosted marketing/bid directories.
    • Coordinate engagement with strategic partnerships to advance the potential for integrated solutions and bid proposals.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends. Gather and document market intelligence.
    • Recommend potential product enhancements to better position the Company within its market.
    • Support Sales leaders in sales activities as needed.
Requirements
    • Four-year college degree in business, communications, marketing or similar.
    • 3 - 5 years' experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales.
    • Prior health services-related sales or marketing experience a plus.
    • Ideal candidates will have experience working with health plans, self-insured employers, health insurance brokers, third-party administrators, or other health services channel partners.
    • This position will require occasional domestic travel to attend conferences and in-person meetings.
