This important role will assist with the design, development, implementation and support of business intelligence, analytics, and reporting solutions. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of data analysis and business intelligence tools and will be a help to deliver solutions using Power BI, SQL Server, Pentaho, and several other tools as required. This role requires strong technical skills in data modeling, ETL process and reporting tools, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Maintain BI Solutions: Design, build, and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Data Modeling: Create and optimize data models to support BI reporting and analytics.
- ETL Development: Design and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure accurate and timely data flow into data warehouses and BI platforms using tools like Pentaho.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with business users, analysts, and IT teams to gather requirements, understand business needs, and deliver solutions.
- Data Analysis: Perform complex data analysis to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for business growth and efficiency improvements.
- Data Quality Management: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across BI and analytics platforms.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize BI solutions for speed, scalability, and usability, ensuring efficient query performance and report generation.
- Documentation and Training: Create documentation and provide training to end-users on BI tools and reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business intelligence and analytics development.
- Proficiency in one or more BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlikview, Phocas, SSRS etc..)
- Strong SQL skills for querying data, data transformation and reporting.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools and processes.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python o R.
- Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record for delivering multiple concurrent tasks end-to-end to meet project deadlines.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
