Health Equity BI Developer

Job Summary:
The Health Equity BI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions to support health equity initiatives. This role involves analyzing healthcare data, creating insightful visualizations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-informed decision-making. The ideal candidate has a strong background in BI tools, healthcare data, and a passion for leveraging data to address health disparities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports using Tableau and Power BI to support health equity projects.
- Analyze, extract, and integrate data from multiple healthcare databases, including AllScripts SCM and Infinity.
- Utilize Oracle Health Cerner HealthAnalytics/Population Health platforms to access and analyze clinical, financial, and operational healthcare data.
- Create and maintain data models and query logic using MS-SQL or similar programming languages.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and security of healthcare data while adhering to industry standards.
- Leverage knowledge of healthcare data standards such as ICD, CPT, HCPCS, LOINC, and SNOMED to analyze and interpret data effectively.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to stakeholders to support health equity initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a BI Developer.
- Experience in the healthcare domain is Needed.
- Proficiency in Tableau (required) and Power BI for analytics visualization.
- Strong understanding of data modeling and query logic with MS-SQL or similar programming languages.
- Familiarity with Oracle Health Cerner HealthAnalytics/Population Health platforms.
Healthcare Data Expertise
- Experience with healthcare data sets, including clinical, administrative, financial, and operational data.
- Knowledge of healthcare data standards such as ICD, CPT, HCPCS, LOINC, and SNOMED.
