Description:Full-Time. M-F; 8a to 5pHistory:Martin County Hospital District (MCHD) was organized in 1967 and has boundaries coterminous with Martin County, Texas. It is located in the heart of West Texas. Opened in 1949, the hospital was originally located near downtown Stanton. This facility served the community well for many years, but was replaced with a state of the art 18 bed facility in 2012. The new facility is located on I20, and has been designated as a Critical Access Hospital.Summary of Responsibilities:Comply with all Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care Payors regulatory requirements. Identify any issues and guide corrective action.Review/establish productivity and work standards for all jobs within the Business Office.Monitor bad debt trends and identify ways to reduce hospital bad debt expense.Monitor compliance with all Business Office and Hospital policies and procedures.Continually review internal processes to ensure the most effective and efficient processes.Directs business office functions and activities relating to admissions, accounts receivable, billing procedures, claims filing, and cashiering.Review coworker performance and provide feedback regularly.Prepare periodic A/R and other reports for the CFO.Continually monitor cash collections to ensure tracking of cash goals.Provide corrective action plans when necessary.Develop specific objectives and standards for each area of responsibility.Responsible for meeting internal and external reporting deadlines assigned by the CFO.
