The Analyst will perform in-depth analysis, interpret Revenue Cycle data, and assist in developing business strategies and processes. Provides objective data and analysis of service lines by creating P&Ls for operational reviews and future planning.Position Responsibilities:
- Oversees Charge Master functions and reimbursement analysis.
- Works with the revenue producing departments to ensure the ongoing coordination and consistency with the Chargemaster and Charge Capture processes, including accurate descriptions, coding, additions, deletions, pricing, revenue code and any other changes.
- Work with Accounting to perform applicable analyses of budget, net revenue change and effect of proposed Chargemaster changes.
- Performs analysis, identifies trends, validation of compliance as related to fiscal activities generating additional revenue, and overall expense reduction.
- Deliver reports and clinical data presentations to internal and external customers, as needed
- Provides analysis of financial data, trend analysis, proformas, and forecasts
- Coordinate and participate in the preparation of various financial reports and analyses for senior leadership and external agencies.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Highly focused, and detail-oriented with excellent analytical and communication skills
- Proficient in MS, PowerPoint, Excel, and pivot tab
- Ability to coordinate and complete multiple projects and deadlines.
- Uses critical thinking and process improvement to develop action plans
QualificationsRequired Experience:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
- Three years finance/accounting experience with emphasis in analysis
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Strong written and oral communication skills essential
- Healthcare experience with understanding of healthcare rules and regulations is preferred, but not required
