Assists with the management/administrative aspects and has operational control of a range of projects. May work on assignments related to project development and management initiatives, internal operating procedures, business processes and policies.Department Overview: Department of Radiologic Sciences employs 8 full-time faculty, 45 adjunct faculty and 35 affiliate. The educational experience in Radiologic Sciences programs promotes health advocacy, interdisciplinary collaboration, life-long learning and growth as a healthcare professional. Degree plans offered by the department are all at the bachelor level. Campus-based programs include diagnostic radiology, diagnostic medical sonography, magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography. Online associate to bachelor degree completion programs with clinical placement local to students include interventional radiology and interventional cardiology, as well as DMS, MRI, and CT. The department also offers a non-clinical online associate to bachelor degree program for students wishing to advance their degree. The department aims to be the educational resource students need to meet their educational and career goals. The programs and students thrive due to the incredible support of our affiliate clinical partners and commitment of faculty and staff to maintaining a positive, welcoming, and inclusive environment to work and grow.Endeavors of department faculty involved in research include radiation dose and detection devices, MRI DTI pre and post repetitive head impacts, post-concussive blood-based biomarkers, and cardiac rehabilitation program impact on occurrence of subsequent myocardial infarcts.Level Scope: Entry-level professional with limited or no prior experience to contribute on a project or work team. Incumbent learns to use professional concepts to resolve problems of limited scope and complexity under close supervision while achieving day-to-day objectives. Works on developmental assignments that are initially routine in nature, requiring limited judgment and decision making. This level is typically focused on self development. Requires theoretical knowledge through specific education and training.Essential Functions: 60% of the time the Business Operations Coordinator must:
  • Responsible for various processes and liaison with other units such as Human Resources, research support, financials, data management and communication.
  • Directs customer service and support functions. Assists in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the organization's mission and help execute staff succession and growth plans. May lead efforts to recruit new employees with the goal of attracting and retaining qualified individuals. Manages quality assurance programs.
  • Serves as liaison to other team members, including interacting with managers of different areas of the organization, presenting findings to stakeholders and higher management as well as training and supervising new employees and tracking and measuring staff performance.
35% of the time the Business Operations Coordinator must:
  • Conduct student pre-placement planning conferences for clinical experiences.
  • Seek and secure new AMI clinical experience sites.
  • Assist with coordinating clinical experiences by confirming links between students/department supervisors/modality preceptors for online AMI students.
  • Secure approval and obtain signatures for agency/college affiliation agreements.
  • Maintain a clinical affiliate database with current and accurate program clinical affiliate/agreement data.
  • Assist with coordination of clinical preceptor orientation.
  • Monitor placement of students, learning objectives/outcome assessment data and performance evaluations of students in conjunction with the AMI Program Directors.
  • Create and update clinical forms and clinical experience manuals.
  • Alert the AMI Program Directors regarding student and agency concerns.
  • Assist with the ongoing assessment of the clinical site and preceptor quality for clinical experience in conjunction with the AMI Program Directors.
  • Communicate with the AMI Degree Coordinator and the Program Directors regarding student progress throughout clinical experiences.
  • Advise, counsel and engage in problem-solving with faculty liaisons, clinical preceptors and/or students regarding clinical experience issues and challenges as directed by Program Directors.
  • Trouble-shoot and mediate questions and concerns from clinical agency heads, clinical preceptors and students.
  • Provide support to faculty teaching clinical experiences courses and functioning as Faculty Liaison.
  • Serve on assigned college/school/department committees.
5% of the time the Business Operations Coordinator must:
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3 years of professional experience.
Salary and Benefits: Salary range starting at $48,609.60 annually and is commensurate with experience. Boise State University provides a best-in-class benefits package, including (but not limited to):
