The American Heart Association the Association has an excellent opportunity for a Region Business Operations Director - Data Specialist. This position is either Office Based or Home Office-based depending on location. This is a full-time position with an excellent benefits package.

As a player/coach, the Region Director Business Operations - Data Specialist works with assigned markets and campaigns to execute, manage, and ensure the successful delivery of data management in our various event and donor management systems. Responsibilities include supervising a team of 2-3 Data Coordinators and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, policies and procedures, and data integrity requirements for effective and efficient operations.

In this role, you will report to the Region Sr. Director of Business Operations and will work with a team of fundraisers and coordinators to manage the data for various markets within the region.

This position will have a travel component to assist with fundraising events with day/night of support as needed.

Responsibilities

* Directly supervises a team of up to three (3) staff. Provide staff leadership, management, and development of the assigned team, ensuring effective delegation and completion of projects and achievement of identified goals and objectives consistent with the Association's leadership competencies.

* Supports department objectives by directly completing data entry and performing data quality checks and reviewing the same work of direct reports.

* Responsible for maintaining accurate donor pipeline, Event Leadership Team (ELT) and giving/getting donation data in Dynamics customer management system.

* Sponsorship processing in conjunction with the Finance department and related data maintenance in applicable event management system.

* Weekly data review in support services meetings.

* Monthly event reconciliations and prepping post-event projection information.

* Assist fundraising Director's with building event financial plans with standard template.

* Quarterly Gold Standard Board data maintenance.

* Research financial questions.

* Request recodes as needed.

* Serves as an expert resource on Association systems and manages customer and campaign information using our systems accurately, timely and completely in accordance with established guidelines.

* Regularly communicates and coordinates priorities and timelines with manager, direct reports and customers.

* Regularly participates in continuous process improvement efforts.

* Participates in Association activities that serve our overall organizational objectives and strategic plan.

* Travel within region for events as needed.

Qualifications

* University/College degree or equivalent experience preferred.

* Minimum two (2) years experience in financial or systems or data analysis, with strong attention to detail.

* Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.

* Must have at least intermediate knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office 365 products and Excel. Advanced knowledge and skill with these programs is preferred. These skills are subject to testing.

* Ability to objectively evaluate, make effective decisions and develop alternative solutions.

* Ability to work in a team environment and interact with all levels of staff, volunteers and the public. This includes ability and willingness to build relationships within the organization. This also involves collaborating with others to bring resources to bear in order to achieve shared objectives.

* Ability to be diplomatic, self-motivated, resourceful, tactful and flexible.

* Knowledge of and skill in report and external email preparation, proofreading and attention to detail.

* Comfort working in an atmosphere requiring flexibility and change.

* Requires access to reliable transportation at all times on an immediate basis.

Preferred Qualifications, not mandatory to qualify:

* Event and Donor Management Systems, such as Greater Giving, Dynamics, and Luminate software

* Automated accounting software knowledge

* Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint system

* 3 years of work experience in a finance or data analysis role, with strong attention to detail.
