Job Description: The Site Business Operations Manager plays a crucial role in optimizing a company's sales processes and ensuring the sales team can operate as effectively as possible. Ensuring that an organization's day-to-day activities run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves overseeing the business operations team, managing processes, optimizing workflows, and implementing strategies to improve commercial productivity and profitability. They often work closely with other departments like finance, marketing, operations, and sales to ensure that all aspects of the business are aligned and functioning well.
Position Responsibilities: - Lead and manage cross-functional teams including project management, sales operations, and applications to deliver business objectives efficiently.
- Develop and implement site-level business strategies that align with corporate goals, ensuring financial and operational objectives are met or exceeded.
- Identify, design, and execute process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction across quoting, order booking, and operations handover processes.
- Implement best practices and standardized processes to improve overall operational performance.
- Act as the primary liaison between sales, project management, and operations teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project timelines, customer requirements, and operational capabilities.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to support the successful execution of projects and operational activities.
- Monitor and manage deal-level financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Use data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement and hold teams accountable for achieving business objectives.
- Establish, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales operations, project management, and applications.
- Identify potential risks in project execution and sales operations, developing and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer needs and expectations, ensuring that project delivery and operational handover meet or exceed these requirements.
- Actively engage with customers to build trust and maintain long-term relationships.
- Maintain a safe environment and participate in safety related activities to promote a safe working culture
Position Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in business operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Understanding the order flow process (for standard and custom orders) to identify problem areas and resolve or advise
- Direct customer interface experience, with ability to effectively listen and respond to customer questions and needs.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven experience in process optimization and driving operational excellence.
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess a current valid US driver's license and US passport
- This position is based on-site with occasional travel as required.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS - Industrial packaging equipment experience
- Experience in project management, sales operations, or applications management is highly desirable.
- High level understanding of IBP (S&OP) processes.
- Master in Business Administration or other advanced degree.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certifications are a plus.
