As new technologies open up new opportunities for us to serve our clients, Treasury and Trade Solutions invests in innovation to bring new solutions to life by establishing a digital future through building on a strong legacy of innovation and a unique global trade solution network.The Business Risk Officer for North America cluster is a senior specialist who provides global oversight to the Platforms and Data Services Risk and Control environment, proactively supporting the Treasury and Trade Solutions PDS Head (Business Head ) in managing and mitigating operational, compliance and regulatory risks, and executing risk and control responsibilities for the business as a First Line of Defence function.This role has responsibility to work with the PDS business lines (global and/or regional), regional and global In Business Risk, the TTS Partner teams (Operations, Technology, Implementations, Sales, Innovation) and second line partners (Risk, Compliance, ORM, FRM, Legal) on risk, compliance and control matters, to establish a robust framework that enables effective risk and control management across the PDS business. This includes assessing and providing objective views on risks, controls, and trends, and implementing change as required.Responsibilities:Responsible for managing and supporting multiple risk and control programs for the organization including implementing the strategy, approach, processes, quality, tools and reporting that provide global risk management consistency and excellence.Works closely with business partners on findings and makes recommendations on improving practices.Keep Management aware of the risk and control environment of the Business through continuous and open communication, by participating in Risk Control Forums with Senior Management to present and follow-up on issues, concerns and corrective action plans.Update and maintain a robust Manager's Control Assessment (MCA) in compliance with the Citi Operational Risk Policy.Ensure adherence to the Citi Operational Risk Policy in regard to operational loss approvals and reporting.Ensure that the Business has a sound control environment from an information security perspective, including adherence to relevant policies where appropriate.Responsible for the coordination of key projects in respective region and occasionally on the global level.Participate as the CRM contact for audits, working with product leads, and ensure that requests are timely and appropriately provided.Examines procedures for consistency and gaps relative to regulations in addition to impacts on customer experience.Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Specific responsibilities will involve: Regulatory change management/coordinating impact assessmentsOversight for issues and action plansMCA support/ARCM creation/testingReviewing/tracking PAP renewalsProviding third party oversight for local vendors (if any)Oversight for records managementEUC/model oversight and review/analysis of new potentialRaising/tracking SIRTsProviding AML and Financial crimes escalation/monitoringQualifications: 6-10 years relevant work experience in Business Risk & Controls. Familiarity with digital product offerings a plus.Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skillsEffective organizational influencing skills required.Third party vendor management preferred.
