Job DescriptionResponsible for the effective and compliant operation of the Business Banking Department. Provides oversight for all operational requirements of the department. Coordinates training, servicing, and the proper implementation of department products and services within the bank, its branches, and for customers. Assists in training of department representatives or others who will sell or service these products. Conducts relationships and activities consistent with established Bank policies, procedures and systems, the corporate code of conduct, Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations. This position should become an Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) within eighteen (18) months of taking the position.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Plans and develops required audits, reviews, and training for department products and services. Monitors all required Cash Management and department product lines on a regular basis. Studies product enhancement, continuation or deletion options to enhance profitability for the bank. Provides oversight of department product delivery, setup, operations and client paperwork. Manages personnel, sales, and customer service. Manages Merchant Credit Card PCI, audit and inventory. Advises and assists senior management, the department manager, sales representatives, and officers and assists customers with difficult questions or issues with cash management products and services. Assists the manager, officers, and others in proposals for ICS and Sweep Accounts. Assists in the growth and development of department products and services. Supervises and ensures follow-through on customer contacts regarding changes, additions, and other problems with department products and services. Assists with strategic planning by assisting the manager in developing departmental goals and budgets, and in writing short and long-term department plans. Assists in the growth and development of department products and services. Assists in supervision of sales and support staff, recommends training, conducts support staff evaluations, and assists in overall staff growth and development, as appropriate. Responsible for personnel administration, such as employment interviews, training and development, counseling, and performance reviews. Responsible for recommendations on hiring, counseling/coaching, promotion, transfers and termination of staff. Assists Sales Representatives with clients to ensure financial needs are met and expectations exceeded.Ability to present alternative solutions for a variety of business situations. Calls on potential and/or existing clients to increase or retain relationships with current clients. Demonstrates the highest level of professionalism, effectiveness, efficiency, and customer service. Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of the services, operations, and organization of Central Bank, communicates this understanding to others when appropriate, and refers inquiries and correspondence to the proper department or individual. Actively participates in sales referral program, attends appropriate referral training, utilizes referral program initiatives, works with management to set sales goals and works to achieve targeted goals for the support staff. Makes effective referrals to business units for traditional and non-traditional banking products and services.Completes or attends all required training. May be assigned other duties and responsibilities. May be assigned work or training at other assigned locations. RequirementsBachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification is desired. Cash Management experience preferred. Background in bank policies, procedures, and banking regulations (state and federal) and thorough knowledge of bank products and services preferred. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Excellent verbal, listening and communication skills. Strong customer relations skills and ability to work with employees and customers in a cooperative manner.Ability and desire to work as part of a team, and with people of diverse backgrounds. Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures: accurate grammar, spelling, punctuation and standard English usage, business correspondence formats, recordkeeping and filing methods, basic math and financial calculations. Demonstrated skill in operational excellence. Ability to identify client needs, present banking solutions and bank products. Ability to recognize referral opportunities to retain and grow customer relationships. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Possess good judgment skills. Ability to make decisions, work independently, handle confidential information and manage multiple tasks.Willingness to work flexible hours as needed. Willingness to assume additional responsibilities/duties/projects as they arise. Ability to operate office equipment including computers, calculators/adding machines, telephones, voicemail, copy machines, fax machines, and security devices. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to drive a vehicle. Must maintain a current valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record for bank insurance purposes. PHYSICAL AND SENSORY DEMANDS: Regularly required to sit; stand; walk; talk; see and hear. Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Regularly required to drive. Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. The individual experiences little discomfort from noise, dust or other factors.
