Business Strategy LeadAs a Business Strategy Lead at Millennium, your primary responsibility will be to drive the strategic agenda by analyzing unique business opportunities and leading cross-departmental projects across all areas of the firm. You will analyze investment strategies and other opportunities to grow Millennium's multi-strategy platform. Projects will involve working across the breadth of the firm including our four trading businesses (fundamental equities, systematic, fixed income, and commodities), Finance, Risk Management, Business Development, etc. We are seeking an experienced and talented individual who has developed a robust analytical skill set to solve complex problems and drive informed decisions. Day-to-day, this means you'll have the opportunity to influence senior executives, lead projects, and hone our competitive intelligence framework. While we are definitely looking for someone technically savvy, we are also looking for someone able to flex between strategic big-picture thinking and an analytical detail-oriented focus when delivering information to senior leadership.If this sounds like the kind of environment you thrive in, we'd love to hear from you.ResponsibilitiesStructure complex problems into simple, easy-to-understand frameworksConduct in-depth research, develop quantitative analyses, and synthesize information to provide recommendations to senior leaders to drive strategic business decisionsBuild financial models and business cases in support of key decisionsManage the delivery of multiple projects while keeping all stakeholders and sponsors informedDevelop a detailed understanding of Millennium, its investment strategies, and build comprehensive and innovative competitive and market analysesChallenge work in progress, results, and reorient any analyses if neededDiagnose issues, prioritize, and escalate when neededIdentify potential risks and mitigantsQualificationsMinimum of 5 years work experience, e.g.,2 years' experience in investment bankingOr 2 years' experience at a Tier 1 consulting firmOr experience in a strategy or corporate development group of a leading financial institutionAbility to conduct rigorous analysis (both quantitative and qualitative) necessary to frame and solve complex problemsStrong presentation skills and experience presenting to senior leadershipStrong communication skills; ability to influence and articulate a variety of issues to different audiences, tailoring messages accordinglyAbility to get up to speed quickly on new problems, shift gears, and handle multiple topics concurrentlyProven track record of meeting and exceeding targetsThe estimated base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $160,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.
