Position Summary:
The Business Support Coordinator supports the NA Sales Team in the management of selected TN&H accounts to ensure customer needs are met, Symrise customer relationships are optimized, and growth strategies are achieved. Functions as the Account Manager internally, engages and manages customer relationships externally as necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Account Coordination and Support
* Supports Global, Regional, and National Account Managers in the management of selected Symrise accounts in North America. This includes all aspects of sales and business support including but not limited to assistance with project and sample coordination, document requests, pricing assistance, and other customer requests.
B. Project Coordination:
* Supports execution of flavor briefs from end to end.
* Manages projects from inception to close of sale.
* Participates in project tastings and attends meetings as required.
* Maintains all information and ensures project specs are current in our systems.
* Communicates regularly with internal departments throughout the project lifecycle.
C. Account Management:
* Manages the Symrise House Accounts (HA) segment for assigned customers. Encompasses entering budgets, managing project timelines, reviewing, calculating, and updating pricing for all HAs including notifications to customers.
D. Special Projects
* Participates in any special projects and other duties as assigned.
Note: This is a hybrid role that will work 3-4 days on site at the Teterboro office and 1-2 days remotely. Will have to work fully on site for the first 3 months or so for training but will follow the hybrid schedule thereafter.
Knowledge and Experience Requirements:
* High School Diploma / GED required. College is preferred.
* Requires industry experience of 3 to 5 years in a sales support role or other relatable customer-facing roles.
* Technical knowledge of the Flavor or Food Industry is strongly preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
* Proficiency with SAP, PACE, C4C/CX, or other similar applications is strongly preferred and will be prioritized.
* Excellent communication skills. Able to communicate with a wide variety of departments and management levels, including international colleagues, and companies.
* Ability to interact effectively with customers daily both in person, via phone and
electronically.
* Ability to demonstrate initiative, pro-active thinking, and problem-solving skills.
* Evidence of leadership, teamwork and project management skills are required.
* Must have a high comfort level working in multiple systems.
* Proficient in processing, monitoring, and tracking projects, samples, and documents through completion.
* Organizational skills are a must, along with the ability to prioritize.
* Fluency in English required. Fluency in additional languages is a plus.
