This position will primarily be responsible for supporting the costing and execution of equipment projects to ensure and maintain profitability as intended. Ancillary, the position will also assist with other monthly financial tasks such as closing, reporting, and other ad-hoc activities aimed at increasing profitability and performance.
Responsibilities / Tasks
- Assist, track, develop, and maintain project costs, timeframes, and profitability
- Complete monthly closing and reporting activities, including: Organize and load month end financial data into GEA's reporting tools for reporting units within GEA North American entities. Consolidate and load budgets and quarterly estimates.
- Prepare monthly sales and management reports, including variance analysis of actuals versus expected results, with meaningful explanations, trend analysis and recommended actions.
- Develop, maintain and distribute financial models and ad hoc reporting tools to meet management reporting requirements.
- Provide operational/cost center support to internal stakeholders (Regional and Divisional Leadership).
- Complete ad hoc analysis of key business activities and general ledger accounts.
- Track and manage sales representative commission process
- Perform pricing analysis including validation of price increases and price realization across product lines.
Your Profile / Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, demonstrating a working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial analysis.
● Solid overall understanding of financial business functions, including planning, budgeting and cost management.
● Working knowledge of ERPs (SAP preferred)
