Position SummaryResponsible for providing application support with a primary focus on sales order management. This role will participate in an ERP implementation and provide support by configuring, troubleshooting, and training on related applications. The scope of responsibility is enterprise-wide.Key Responsibilities
- Works closely with Sales and Distribution to define business application requirements and system integration specifications.
- Responsible for the activities related to the design, configuration, and implementation of new software systems or changes to existing design. This will include quality assurance, user acceptance testing, documentation, and compliance with the Information Technology standard operating procedures.
- Performs thorough testing of all changes and coordinates approved change control processes. Learns the ERP solution (Oracle JD Edwards) with emphasis on modules: sales, pricing and quoting, and distribution.
- Assists with and/or directs the training of personnel as it relates to use of the business applications features and functions including but not limited to user procedures manuals, training curriculum, and associated training materials.
- Works closely with the business unit to assist and provide general application technical support and guidance.
- Acts as a liaison between EDI customers and the business to coordinate EDI setup.
- Has frequent contact with personnel from all functional areas and business units of the company to support their use of Business Applications and Information Technologies.
- Develop working relationships with a diverse group of business people and gain an understanding of the complex nature of the company's business. Maintain familiarity with the business plans of the company and the departments serviced.

Selection Criteria:
- Education:
- A Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in Information Technology, MIS, and/or Business Management is preferred but not required.
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Programming, and/or Business Management in addition to 2-5 years of experience in a comparable Information Technology Business Systems environment required.
- Experience:
- Experience with project management and process/functional definition of business applications within a manufacturing or distribution business environment required.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both oral and written - to successfully interact with project teams from various departments and business units.
- Strong research and analytical skills and the ability to self-direct training to stay current with advancing technologies.
- JDE Enterprise One Experience or Greycon Experience highly preferred
- EDI experience required
- Must be willing to travel to Mactac locations as required.
