Description Your role at GEI. As a Business Technology manager your primary role will be improving operational efficiency utilizing the various software applications utilized by GEI staff, improving collaboration and communication within the organization, standardizing the use of software applications, and leveraging data analysis and AI technologies. This role will also serve as a liaison between Business Operations and Information Technology to ensure that IT systems align with the needs of the business. The successful candidate will be well versed in Project Management and have an in depth understanding of the work performed by an engineering consulting business Essential Responsibilities & Duties
- Make suggestions to management on how to improve the technological capacity of GEI.
- Manage the implementation of new business software and improve business workflows.
- Creation and management of technology-based committees.
- Play key role in allowing GEI to maintain existing certifications such as NIST as well as new certifications like CMMC.
- Create and Lead Innovation initiatives.
- Liaison between Information Technology and GEI clients.
- Creation and maintenance of software documentation and SOP's
- Collaborate with Information Technology Team on various initiatives to minimize impact on GEI operations as new I.T. technology is implemented.
- Evaluate new technologies that may be of value to GEI and make recommendations to GEI Executive team.
- Train and educate end users on various Business technology initiatives.
- Manage software vendor relationships.
- Manage software inventory.
- Maintain software license compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) required. Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in an engineering role as a Project Manager or equivalent in an AEC Enterprise environment
- Experience implementing software solutions.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.
- Willingness to work outside normal business hours and travel when required.
- Strong English oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with proven project management skills
- Ability to convey technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-technical personnel.
- Understanding of IT Security Controls (NIST 800-171, CMMC, SOC-2 or equivalent)
