Job Overview: Miltona Custom Meats is looking for a butcher to provide high-quality meats and services to our customers. Butchers slaughter livestock, cut, prepare, package, stock, and rotate meat products, order and receive meat and supply shipments, perform quality inspections, and adhere to food safety standards. Butchers speak with customers to provide advice on meat cuts, preparation methods, and coordinate pickups. Position Description: Slaughter, skin, quarter, cut, grind, further process, prepare, weigh, label, and price meat products for sale. Handle live, carcass, and cuts of beef, pork, lamb, and game, and handle cuts of poultry. Adhere to safety, food safety, and sanitation standards. Clean and maintain tools and equipment. Meet daily production needs and quality standards. Provide high quality customer service. Accept orders and payments. Weigh, package, price, and display product. Coordinate orders and deliveries for customers and vendors. Complete other duties as assigned.
