We are looking for an experienced Buyer II to be responsible for all aspects of purchasing including but not limited to: vendor buys, brokering, and some vendor relation management. This position includes coordination between other departments within the company as well as vendors and customers to meet the company's goals and objectives. Responsibilities:
  • Generally, promote the company's ideals, products, services, and provide excellent customer service at all times
  • Begins each task or project with the end in mind
  • Establish methods and procedures to insure productivity is maintained at an optimum level. Removes obstacles, allows for and contributes needed resources, coordinates work efforts and monitors progress. Always puts first things first
  • Ensure that the facility and equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition
  • Asserts ideas and persuades others; builds effective teams committed to company goals, uses team to address relevant issues
  • Drives for results and success; conveys a sense of urgency; pursues goals and works to achieve them
  • Demonstrates principled leadership and sound business ethics
  • Understands and conveys information and instructions clearly and effectively
  • Review customer orders to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Replenishment orders and inventory analysis
  • Customer POS analysis
  • ERP system reporting for management review
  • Communicate with customer including but not limited to receipt of orders, shipping, claims, etc.
  • New customer set up information
Basic Qualifications:
  • High school graduate or GED or equivalent experience, required
  • Utilize Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Must be computer savvy and learn company proprietary software programs
  • Must be able to convey written and verbal instructions
  • An understanding of and working knowledge of aerospace quality management practices and AS9120 requirements is helpful
  • Knowledge in OEM and general aerospace business environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of aircraft parts and aerospace requirements
  • Knowledge of inventory practices and general aerospace requirements regarding same
