**Buyer**
Purchasing Bristol, Connecticut Minimum Experience **Entry-level** As a Buyer, you will be responsible for managing purchase orders from initial preparation to final verifications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review purchasing needs from tooling, raw materials, office and shop floor supplies.
* Monitor internal inventory levels.
* Issue RFQ's to review for pricing and delivery.
* Communicate quality issues and issue returns as needed.
* Work with engineering/production to find comparable alternatives when products are out of stock.
* Work with setup team leads to research tooling options when preparing parts for first time runs and also when troubleshooting machining issues is needed.
* Schedule delivery of available stock items under blanket orders.
* Expedite and check status of parts at outside service.
* Work with AP to verify payments through an internal price list.
* Analyze, schedule, plan and control all inventory and purchased items based on your own collection, analysis and summarization of data and trends.
Job Requirements
* Associates degree or equivalent certifications
* 3+ years in manufacturing industry required.
* Experience with inventory management
* Customer service experience preferred
