JOB BASICS

The primary purpose of the Buyer is to procure the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible cost that satisfies their internal customers. This position also maintains the integrity of the ERP and deals with both requisition and supplier requests to resolve any and all issues.

** Requirements**

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

High School Diploma or G.E.D., Associate Degree in Business preferred

Minimum two years of experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be at ease when speaking with plant personnel, vendors and senior management alike.

Must be exceptionally self-motivated and directed. Energetic, forward-thinking and creative with high ethical standards.

A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (word, excel, powerpoint, publisher), KSoft, and other various computer systems.

Ability to handle multiple priorities and people simultaneously.

Ability to work on-call availability and periodic overtime.

Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and have dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computing equipment.
