THG Labs (Acheson) offers a unique end-to-end service specialising in the development and supply of premium beauty and cosmetic products to highly respected brands and retailers on a global scale. We have over 700 talented individuals working across our sites in Trowbridge and Frome including a state-of-the-art laboratory and 78,000 square foot ever-growing manufacturing site!

We are now searching for a dynamic and pro-active Buyer to join our fast-paced Procurement Department on a full-time basis.

**Responsibilities**

The Buyer will be responsible for landing key cost incentives regarding packaging requirements for Beauty Brands as well as developing relationships with key suppliers, procuring new suppliers and ensuring the supplier base remains low risk to the business.

Key duties will include:

* Creating contractual agreements with suppliers to provide financial cost savings to procured packaging.

* Identifying procurement gaps within the supply base and providing creative solutions.

* Onboarding new suppliers aligned with our agreed standards.

* Negotiating preferential terms and conditions with the supply base.

* Lead regular meetings with internal and external contacts.

* Managing supplier lead times and providing solutions to reduce impact to supply.

* Collating and managing the ethical and environmental status of suppliers.

* Increasing the performance of suppliers using KPIs.

* Communicating effectively and positively with all teams, colleagues and managers.

* Helping to promote a positive working atmosphere within the company.

* Any other duties that may be required from time to time.

**Requirements**

* CIPS Certification or equivalent.

* Experience in packaging and development processes.

* Excellent customer service & communication skills both written and verbal.

* Ability to manage priorities, work under pressure and meet deadlines.

* Accuracy and strong attention to detail.

* Confident negotiation and leadership skills.

* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
