Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans in line with the company's objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure the best quality, cost, and delivery terms.
  • Evaluate and manage supplier performance, ensuring they meet contractual obligations and maintain a high level of service.
  • Utilize ERP and MRP systems to forecast demand, manage inventory, and plan purchases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, and production to understand their procurement needs.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers and stay abreast of industry trends.
  • Manage risks related to supply chain disruptions and propose contingency plans.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Continually evaluate opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within the engineering industry.
  • Proven experience with ERP and MRP systems.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence and persuade.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
  • Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) or similar certification is a plus.
