Job Description:

CoWorx Staffing Services seeks a Buyer for a well established manufacturing company in Sturbridge MA. The ideal Buyer would manage the purchasing of materials, supplies, and services. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and ordering goods from vendors, as well as ensuring timely delivery and quality standards. As a Buyer, you will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of purchases, inventory, and contracts. You will also collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, production, and quality control, to ensure the optimal performance of the supply chain and other procurement related duties.

To be successful as a Buyer, you should have excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills, as well as a keen eye for detail. You should also have a solid knowledge of procurement processes, ERP/MRP systems, and Excel. We are looking for individuals who enjoy working with others and are capable of multitasking effectively.

Responsibilities:

Research and identify potential suppliers that meet the company's requirements for quality, price, and delivery.

Negotiate contracts and prices with suppliers, ensuring the best value for money and compliance with company policies and regulations.

Place orders for materials, supplies, and services, and track their status and delivery using ERP/ MRP systems and excel.

Monitor inventory levels and forecast future demand, adjusting orders as needed to avoid overstocking or shortages.

Evaluate supplier performance and quality and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.

Maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, contracts, and vendor information using ERP/ MRP systems and excel.

Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, production, and quality control, to ensure the smooth operation of the supply chain and resolve any issues or discrepancies.

Stay updated on market trends, product developments, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.

APICS/ ASCM Designation preferred

Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar role in procurement.

Proficient in ERP/ MRP systems and excel.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Occasional travel to their other location
