Job Title: Purchasing/Buyer for Wholesale Plumbing supply
Location: Bayonne, NJ or Staten Island area.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supplier & Vendor Management: Source, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships to ensure high-quality materials and competitive pricing. Negotiate contracts, terms, and delivery schedules to support business needs.
- Product Purchasing: Procure a wide range of plumbing supplies, including fixtures, fittings, and piping. Ensure the timely availability of products based on inventory needs and market demand.
- Cost Control & Budgeting: Monitor purchasing budgets, optimize spending through cost-effective sourcing strategies, and report on procurement performance.
- Inventory Management: Collaborate with the warehouse team to monitor stock levels, assess reorder points, and maintain optimal inventory to meet customer demand without overstocking.
- Market Research & Analysis: Stay up to date with market trends, product availability, and pricing fluctuations. Conduct research on new products and potential suppliers.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant regulations and standards. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery schedules.
Key Qualifications:
- Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the plumbing supply or similar industry.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills with a focus on building long-term supplier relationships.
- In-depth knowledge of plumbing products, materials, and market trends.
- Proficiency in procurement software and systems.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
