Buyer
Pay Rate: $30 - $35 per hour DOE / Contract-to-Hire position
We are seeking an experienced Buyer to manage procurement activities and support supply chain operations for a growing company in Syracuse, NY. This role involves issuing purchase orders, maintaining supplier relationships, and analyzing sales and inventory data to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process purchase orders for inventory materials to ensure timely delivery.
- Review and analyze purchase order recommendations, converting them into new orders as needed.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure the best terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of supplier lead times, pricing, and product specifications.
- Collaborate with internal departments to process RFQs and gather technical product information.
- Analyze sales history and forecast data to establish optimal order points and purchase quantities.
- Expedite materials to ensure timely fulfillment of customer requirements.
- Assist with additional purchasing projects as directed by the Purchasing Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.
- Prior experience in purchasing and working with MRP systems is required.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations is a plus.
