Position Summary:
Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner. Processes purchase requisitions, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers. Creates and maintains bills of material and commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise-wide systems. Performs cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities (e.g., materials, components, equipment and services). Monitors the cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to negotiate highest quality at best value.
Essential Functions:
* Monitor purchase orders and communicates regularly with suppliers to maintain delivery schedules, and proactively communicate to internal customers when critical issues arise
* Supports communication with suppliers and Accounts Payable to resolve invoices, purchase orders and other discrepancies
* Work with Accounts Payable and suppliers to reconcile invoice and purchase order discrepancies
* Reviews and manages inventory levels to achieve target levels in conjunction with product development and quality teams
* Maintains strong supplier relationships in order to drive cost reductions and support capacity planning while maintaining high-quality product
* Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies.
* Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
* Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:
* Typically requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience
* Project management experience preferred
* Ability to work under minimum supervision with a high degree of organizational and technical competence
* Ability to function well under pressure and expend effort to meet schedules and deadlines
* Experience working for a medical device manufacturer preferred
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Attention to detail
* Self-starter
* Advanced critical thinking and problems-solving skills
