GENERAL SUMMARY 1. Effectively execute the parts planning for all Sanoh America facilities to ensure uninterrupted supply of materials to support production and sales requirementsESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Order components for Sanoh America facilities; execute in the area of stock and replenishment, providing feedback to the supply chain on risks regarding replenishment levels and demand.2. Maintain appropriate inventory levels of purchased product; monitor receipt of product quantity and schedules; take corrective action as necessary.3. Manages obsolescence levels, supports inventory management, communicates with supplier regarding performance and delivery problem resolution4. Participate in new model APQP launch activities; plan and coordinate introduction of new parts and the phasing out of old parts to minimize obsolescence. 5. Monitor and update key department metrics; communicate relevant data with internal departments and external suppliers6. Support physical inventory activities7. Maintenance of all applicable work instructionsREQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 1. Two year degree in Business, Materials Management, Production Management, or equivalent experience2. Minimum one year in a Materials Planning or Production Control manufacturing environmentREQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES 1. Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills2. Effective organizational and time management skills; Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines3. Working knowledge of effective scheduling, planning, inventory management, and MRP concepts4. Basic understanding of data collection and analysis5. Effective planning and prioritization skills6. Abilities in situation analysis, decision-making, and problem solving7. Good meeting leadership and facilitation skills8. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, especially ergonomics and 5-S9. Good understanding of manufacturing processes and capabilities10. Basic knowledge of MS-Office, with emphasis on Excel / data management11. Basic knowledge of OSHA and ISO-14001 requirementsREQUIRED DECISION-MAKING AND ORGANIZATION IMPACT 1. This position must closely manage inventory levels during a part build-out. Keep too little on hand and we run out (mis-ship, expedites, etc.), keep too much on hand and we throw out excessive quantities of obsolete materials.2. This position must maintain correct levels of inventory at all times. If poor decisions are made, we may have to over-handle the same inventory, pay for additional storage, or incur scrap due to excess handling.REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS 1. This position reports directly to the Purchasing Supervisor2. This position has no direct reportsWORKING CONDITIONS 1. Mostly office environment; occasional time on manufacturing floor2. Occasional travel is possible, including overnight stays3. Overtime of varying levels may be requiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS1. Possible use of stairs2. Occasionally lift boxes or bundles, up to 25 lbs, during physical inventory sessions
