LaSalle Network is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join one of our client's procurement team in Schaumburg, IL. The Buyer will play a critical role in managing the purchasing process, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and materials while maintaining quality standards. This position involves working closely with suppliers, managing inventory levels and collaborating with internal teams to meet business needs. Buyer Responsibilities:

• Source, evaluate and select suppliers to procure goods and services in alignment with company goals
• Negotiate pricing, terms and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings and meet deadlines
• Issue purchase orders and ensure timely receipt of goods and services
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers
• Address and resolve any supplier issues, including quality discrepancies and delivery delays
• Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking
• Analyze purchasing trends and adjust procurement plans accordingly
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, logistics and finance, to ensure smooth purchasing processes
• Provide support in supplier audits and assessments as required
• Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare reports on cost analysis, supplier performance and purchasing trends
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement

Buyer Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field
• 1+ years of experience in procurement, buying or supply chain roles preferred. Internships considered
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage supplier relationships and collaborate with internal teams
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach
