Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to achieve favorable pricing and service levels.
  • Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and areas for improvement in the procurement process.
  • Conduct research on market conditions, supplier performance, and emerging trends to inform purchasing decisions.
  • Manage purchase orders from creation to completion, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of goods.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain teams to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
  • Evaluate cost structures and pricing strategies to ensure competitive pricing and identify opportunities for cost reductions.
  • Track and report on supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and responsiveness, to ensure compliance with contract terms.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including finance, production, and logistics, to align purchasing activities with company goals.
  • Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance for senior management.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in a procurement, buyer, or analyst role, preferably in a manufacturing or retail environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and pull up to 50 pounds at times

Compensation:

The compensation range for this job is between $25.00 / Hr. - $29.00 / Hr. This is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
