As our Buyer, you will be a part of a knowledgeable and well-diverse engineering team who loves to have fun and get stuff done! You will play a key role in purchasing and scheduling activities. This position supports all operational locations. You'll enjoy working in a fun, collaborative, and fast (high-mix/low-volume) manufacturing operation. Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in purchasing is required
  • Must possess excellent written, oral, and presentation skills as well as solid math skills
  • Must be able to multitask
  • Must have strong telephone skills and be very organized
  • Must be a team player
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Must be able to work with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace as well as the company's MRP/ERP system

  • Make daily purchases within allotted programs based on requisitions and analyze the quality, specifications and delivery requirements
  • Send out quotations for bid on non-contracted items and negotiates best price
  • Enter purchase orders into system and issue to supplier via fax or email
  • Review purchase orders on a weekly basis via our reporting system and follow up on past due items plus requirements due in coming weeks
  • Highlight any problem areas and report them to the manager
  • Interact with Planning and Production to ensure any changes in production requirements are flowed down to suppliers
  • Liaise with planners to control scheduling of parts to ensure stock levels meet demands while staying within stock level buffers
  • Review Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)/Withhold tags written against suppliers and relays such information to them with corrective action
  • Update suppliers with engineering changes and drawings

The pay range for this position is $21.00 /hr to $32.00 /hr.
