Buyer

The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services required for production, MRO, and non-production activities. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills and a strong understanding of supply chain management.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate suppliers for production, MRO, non-production materials, and outside services.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
  • Assure all Production Material, MRO, MRO, Outside Services, Capital purchasing follow approved process with multi-quote and final negotiations to drive lower cost.
  • Support international communication and transfer of business systems and practices for strategic purposes.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of materials.
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to forecast material requirements.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize excess stock and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply chain issues.
  • Minimize inventory holding costs and reduce waste through efficient inventory management practices.
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports to provide insights and recommendations for inventory optimization.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
  • Generate regular reports on procurement activities and performance metrics.
  • Report monthly inventory turns.
  • Ensure all procurement activities are documented and compliant with company policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have previous Die Casting commodity experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • High energy, teamwork, and passion for developing team members.
