Buyer
The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services required for production, MRO, and non-production activities. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent negotiation skills and a strong understanding of supply chain management.
Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate suppliers for production, MRO, non-production materials, and outside services.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Assure all Production Material, MRO, MRO, Outside Services, Capital purchasing follow approved process with multi-quote and final negotiations to drive lower cost.
- Support international communication and transfer of business systems and practices for strategic purposes.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of materials.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to forecast material requirements.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize excess stock and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply chain issues.
- Minimize inventory holding costs and reduce waste through efficient inventory management practices.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports to provide insights and recommendations for inventory optimization.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
- Generate regular reports on procurement activities and performance metrics.
- Report monthly inventory turns.
- Ensure all procurement activities are documented and compliant with company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Must have previous Die Casting commodity experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
