Position Overview:

Are you a strategic thinker with a knack for supply chain and a passion for optimizing processes? The firm is seeking a highly motivated Buyer/Planner to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of their supply chain, from sourcing raw materials to delivering finished products. Your expertise will help them maintain their reputation for excellence and drive their continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

- Procurement Management: Source and procure materials, components, and services required for production, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.

- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and manage stock to prevent shortages or excesses, optimizing storage space and reducing costs.

- Supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to secure the best possible outcomes for the company.

- Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules that align with customer demand and company objectives, coordinating with various departments to ensure seamless operations.

- Cost Optimization: Analyze purchasing trends and market conditions to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.

- Data Analysis: Utilize data to track performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering, quality, and logistics teams to address any issues that arise and ensure the timely delivery of products.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

- 3-5 years of experience in procurement, buying, or planning within a manufacturing environment.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.

- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a proven track record of building strong supplier relationships.

- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

- Detail-oriented, with exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
