Job Description:
If youre an current ICC student and are looking for another way to help pay for college, federal work study may be a great option for you. Work-study is a way for students to earn money to pay for school through part-time on- (and sometimes off-) campus jobs. The Federal Work Study program gives students an opportunity to gain valuable work experience while pursuing a college degree. Work-study jobs vary in qualifications and responsibilities. Pay will depend on ICC policies and/or the minimum wage requirements in the state. How many hours you work each week will depend on the type of job you get and your employers expectations. Work-study jobs allow for flexible work schedules that fit around your courses and co-curricular activities. One of the benefits of earning income through a Federal Work-Study position is that those earnings do not count against you when you complete the FAFSA. Theres a question on the FAFSA form that asks how much was earned through work-study during a particular tax year; make sure to answer that question accurately so the amount can be factored out. If you do not know how much you earned, you can contact the financial aid office at your school for help. Annual Security & Fire Safety Report: ICC publishes an Annual Security and Fire Safety Report containing the Clery Act crime statistics, security related policy statements and fire safety information. This information is made available to current and prospective students and employees. Click here to access the report: 2023 Annual Security & Fire Safety Report. A paper copy can be provided upon request by reaching out to the Vice President for Student Affairs at Student Union, 1057 W. College Ave., Independence KS. 67301 or email David Adams ...@indycc.edu .
