DetailsClient Name Movement for Life Physical Therapy - Arroyo Grande Job Type Travel Offering Allied Profession Therapy Specialty PT Job ID 29276738 Job Title CA - PT - Days - Arroyo Grande, CA (Central Coast) Weekly Pay $2257.81 Shift DetailsShift Day - 8x5 - 09AM Scheduled Hours 40 Job Order DetailsStart Date 12/02/2024 End Date 06/30/2025 Duration 30 Week(s) Job Description Job Title: Physical Therapist Job Specialty: Rehabilitation Therapy Job Duration: 30 weeks Shift: Days Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Must hold an active Physical Therapist license in the state of intended work or plan to test soon Certifications: Maintain and update physical therapy skills and certifications as necessary Must-Have: Proficient in DX and ICD-10 coding Job Description: - Implement patient rehabilitation programs to improve mobility, function, and strength. - Evaluate and treat patients within a physical therapy and rehabilitation setting. - Utilize electronic medical records to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries. - Supervise PT Assistants and Aides in all aspects of patient care. - Communicate with physicians and other health care professionals to ensure quality patient care. - Be responsible for accurate documentation of patient care, including follow-up on prescriptions, test results, and authorizations. - Ensure patient comfort and address any questions or concerns. - Collaborate with front office staff regarding patient scheduling and follow-up. - Possess computer skills necessary for completing job requirements such as typing, using Word, Internet, EMR, etc. - Make independent decisions regarding patient care. - Be involved in the business marketing and referral process as needed. - Adhere to HIPAA policies and procedures. - Understand PT billing policies and procedures regarding various types of payment. - Maintain physical mobility, including a combination of sitting, walking, and prolonged standing, during work hours. - Be capable of lifting 50 pounds and assisting patients with mobility restraints, transferring, and walking safety. Work Environment: Outpatient rehabilitation clinic Supervisory Responsibility: Supervises PT Assistants and Aides regarding patient care. Privacy and Compliance: - Protect patient information in accordance with privacy policies and legal regulations. - Report any concerns regarding privacy practices without fear of retaliation. - Participate actively in privacy training and communicate privacy policy information as required. - Comply with OSHA, and federal and state regulations. Physical Demands: - Engage in activities such as walking, sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving continually during working hours. - Manage the physical requirements of lifting and supporting patients and ensuring safety at all times.
