- Hold license as aPhysical Therapist in the state in which you intend to work
- Maintain and update PTskills and certifications as necessary
- Evaluate and treatpatients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs
- Utilize ElectronicMedical Record to complete evaluations, reports and discharge summaries forpatient files
- Guide & monitorpatient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up
- Supervise PT Assistantsand Aides regarding all aspects of patient care
- Communicate withphysicians and other persons to insure quality patient care
- Correspond withco-workers & other offices via phone, fax & email
- Be responsible foraccurate patient chart documentation & follow-up re: prescriptions, testresults, authorizations etc.
- Make sure patients arecomfortable and answer questions when necessary.
- Work closely with thefront office staff regarding scheduling and patient follow up.
- Have computer skillsnecessary to complete job requirements i.e. typing, Word, Internet, EMR, etc.
- Be able to makeindependent decisions regarding patient care
- Be involved in thebusiness marketing & referral process when necessary
- Be responsible forfollowing HIPAA policy & procedure
- Be familiar with PTbilling policy & procedure re: Medicare work-comp, private, auto, liens,cash pay etc.
- Be proficient in DX andICD-10 coding for the billing of services
- Be able to be physicalmobile, including a combination of stool sitting, walking, and prolonged standingfor 8-10 hour work days, based on patient care schedule.
- Be able to lift 50pounds and assist moving patients with mobility restraints, assist patientswith transferring, and providing stand by assistance and recovery with patientwalking safety.
Supervisory Responsibility Thisposition supervises PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patientcare.
Work Environment Thisposition works in the patient physical therapy clinic anoutpatient/rehabilitation setting.

The position walks, sits, stands, bends, lifts and movescontinually during working hours. The position is subject to lifting objectsweighing over 50 pounds, pushing wheel chairs, and transporting and supportingresidents. The employee must be constantly alert for resident safety.
