**Job Title: Cabinet Assembler**

**Job Description**

As a Cabinet Assembler, you will be responsible for applying finishes to wood surfaces, ensuring high-quality and visually appealing results. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth.

**Responsibilities**

+ Prepare wood surfaces for finishing by sanding, filling cracks, and applying sealants.

+ Mix your own stains/paints to match control samples.

+ Apply stains, varnishes, and other finishes to wood surfaces using brushes, sprayers, or rollers.

+ Ensure even coverage and smooth finish by removing excess paint or finish.

+ Use hand tools and equipment such as sanders, scrapers, and buffers to achieve desired results.

+ Inspect finished products for quality and make any necessary touch-ups or repairs.

+ Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and specifications.

**Essential Skills**

+ Demonstrated strong attention to detail to see any bubbles or alignment issues with the laminate.

+ Ability to do basic math functions.

+ Previous experience with hand and power tools.

+ Ability to accurately read a tape measure.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Lamination experience (preferably with other countertop companies).

+ 2-3 years experience working on cabinet assembly.

**Work Environment**

Work in a custom cabinetry shop specializing in custom cabinets and countertops for kitchens and bathrooms. This is a millwright environment with a lot of wood debris. The hours are Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with flexibility to work longer hours and some Saturdays as needed.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hagerstown, Maryland.
