Job Purpose
The role of Supervisor provides a high level of leadership to direct operators and group leaders; using a combination of technical expertise and interpersonal team building skills to create a team environment that is disciplined and improvement oriented. This person leads their team to achieve a high level of success in a results oriented environment.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
* Works directly with group leaders and operators to execute daily work schedules and plans.
* Measures reports performance with Superintendents and Plant Manager in regards to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
* Works with Quality assurance to maintain conformance to the quality standards and improve first pass complete.
* Responsible for real time coaching and engagement of the operators and is responsible for their overall performance.
* Develops the leadership skills and technical expertise of the team leaders and potential leaders from the operators.
* Responsible for training the team leader to be the trainer and maintain training depth of all operators.
* Works with OEE and productivity to reduce scrap, unproductive work, rejects and improve the productivity and overall performance of the area.
* Sets goals, then measures and reports performance for their respective areas.
* Maintains a clean working environment.
* Ensures compliance of all safety procedures.
* Accurately and promptly reports the usage of all finishing chemicals. Maintains compliance with NEC and NSRP as it pertains to the finishing operations.

* Problem solving skills and ability to lead others in problem solving efforts
* Ability to utilize electronic production scheduling systems
* Must be personally organized
* Verbal and written communication skills
* Motivational Skills
* Ability to maintain disciplined execution of plans and daily work schedules
* Ability to communicate at the management level
* Associate's degree or commensurate experience
* Team Building/Interpersonal skills to work with subordinates and peer supervisors.
* Should be familiar with Flat Line Finishing Operations
* MS Office and basic computer skills
