POSITION PROFILE The Cabinetmaker is responsible for the assembly of custom commercial office furniture constructed of wood, granite, glass, metal, etc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Use various machinery and hand tools to fabricate custom furniture, including: Conference tables, workstations, reception desks, credenzas etc.
- Glues, fits and clamps parts and subassemblies together to form a complete unit.
- Trims component parts of joints to ensure proper fit.
REQUIRED SKILLS: - 3-5 years of woodworking experience, preferably in the furniture industry preferred
- Ability to interpret shop drawings
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED), or work experience which demonstrates performance competency
A starting compensation range for this role is $20 per hour. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors.
