Our client, a wire company is seeking a Cable Harness Assembler to join their team. As a Cable Harness Assembler, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting the assembly of harnesses and related components. The ideal candidate will have precision, attention to detail, and adherence to engineering specifications and safety standards, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Cable Harness Assembler
Location: Saddle Brook, NJ
Pay Range: $20-$22/ Hourly
Shift: 1st shift
What's the Job?
Assemble and install electrical components, wiring, and harnesses according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Using manual & powered tools to perform delicate tasks such as stripping, crimping, soldering, and connector assembly.
Conduct testing such as electrical continuity and HI POT testing on cable harness assemblies to ensure quality and compliance to requirements.
Read and interpret engineering documentation, including drawings, and wiring diagrams.
Inspect, verify, and document each step of the assembly process of components and finished products. To ensure quality standards are in accordance with engineering specifications.
What's Needed?
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification in electrical assembly or related field preferred.
2 Years Experience with wire harness assembly, and able to read wire harness installation drawings/wiring diagrams/work instructions.
Experience with IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC J-STD-001 desired.
