SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Under general supervision, performs Cable testing, routine checks, and equipment troubleshooting. SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Perform regular test and inspection procedures to ensure the product is in accordance with SOP's.
- Assists with loading/unloading Cable equipment on to transportation vehicles.
- Maintain work area, tools and fixtures to ensure there are no hazard to personnel or integrity to parts being assembled.
- Trains and coaches new hires in basic principles.
RequirementsEHS REQUIREMENTS:
- Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the company's TRIR goals
- Follow all environmental requirements consistent with supporting the company's environmental performance goals
- Complete, and actively participate in all of the company's EHS training requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires a High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- A clean driving record is required for vehicle operators.
- 3-4 years' artificial lift experience is preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence as required
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Basic hand tool proficiency
- Basic computer skills required to operate computerized test equipment
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- A combination of the above qualifications will also be considered
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to safely bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at area.
- Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate hand tools and mechanical tools.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace.
- Must be able to tolerate changing priorities, and complete assignments despite frequent interruptions.
- Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
