Job Title:CAD and Document Control Associate Property of: CJ Bio America 1946 Harvest Ave. Fort Dodge, Iowa 50501Job #: REV: 7/1/2024Department:Maintenance and EngineeringReports to:Supervisor of Engineering Admin Career Path: PFunction: Maintenance and Engineering Full-Time Non-ExemptJob SummaryUtilize CAD software to create, update and finalize drawings in conjunction with Engineers, manage drawings and documents, and assist in Engineering administrative work. Summary of Essential Job Functions
  • Participate and communicate with Engineers in design phase of projects, and proof and update revision drawings by applying basic plant design knowledge
  • Follow up with changes made within the plant and verify on site to finalize As-Built drawings
  • Participate in MOC (Management of Change) processes and update revision drawings as necessary
  • Organize and maintain electronic and hard copy documents and drawings
  • Create, modify and maintain document control standard operating procedures per document security standards
  • Locate, print, control and manage in and out of documents and drawings
  • Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning software through SAP
  • Review proposals of investment prepared by production team
  • Supports the company's capital investment project progress and schedules, and review and verify document entries in SAP
  • Support in tracking investment goods and set distribution rules within investment for asset capitalization with adherence to company guidelines
  • Conduct annual asset audits and report deficiencies
  • Support and perform other Engineering administrative duties as necessary
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD preferred)
  • Ability to read and translate blueprints and technical drawings
  • Knowledge in plant design and process drawings such as P&ID, structural, piping, mechanical and electrical drawings and able to apply in drafting
  • Ability to communicate and report effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Experience in SAP;
  • Critical thinking, attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality;
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, however business needs may require additional hours worked
  • This position primarily operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • This position does not supervise the work of others
  • Travel is not expected for this position
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, if necessary;
  • Ability to work in confined spaces as necessary
  • Must be able to move about the facility up to 25 % of their shift
  • Ability to inspect all equipment at various locations and heights
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree
OR
  • Associate's Degree & 2 years of directly related work experience
OR
  • High School Diploma/GED & 4 years of directly related experience
  • Asset Management experience preferred
