As a cadet, you will acquire an understanding of how a public service department is managed and functions. We will provide you with opportunities to gain experience and will help prepare you for your future in your chosen field.Qualifications/Skills Required Currently enrolled as a full time Kishwaukee College student with a minimum of 12 semester hours.• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.• Possession of a valid Illinois driver's license and a good driving record.• No felony or disqualifying misdemeanor criminal convictions.• Successfully pass a background investigation.• Once a Cadet you must take a minimum of 12 semester credit hours each semester you are employed along with three credit hours in the summer.
