The Kendal at Hanover Dining Services team has a great opportunity for qualified individuals interested in helping older adults. The Cafe Lead serves residents, guests, and staff in the Cafe and Cadbury Dining Room in prompt, organized manner. Cooks, and coordinates the foodpreparation for meals and non-meal items. - Assures quality of service in the Caf, by ensuring proper service and staffing levels at all times.
- Maintains and records proper food-holding and serving temperatures per HACCP regulations.
- Have the ability to work any position in the Caf when needed; register, deli, hot line and the grill station at dinner service.
- Ensures that staff properly clean tables, stock silverware, and set up the Caf with the appropriate accompaniments for that particular meal.
- Ensures that the Caf is stocked adequately by overseeing pre and post meal side work in accordance with each scheduled shift.
- Assures the sanitation of the Caf by overseeing the thorough cleaning of all work areas (floor, line, service and dining) before, during, and after shift.
- Assures quality service by greeting residents and guests, assisting residents and guests as needed, being cheerful and courteous and recognizing and adapting to the various needs and requests of the residents.
- Brings other concerns to the attention of the Cafe Supervisor and Dining Director while trying to resolve them on their own.
