**Scope of this Position:**
Reporting to the Executive Chef and Culinary Management Team, the Cafeteria Attendant oversees the operation of the Palm Caf with a focus on high quality of food, maintenance, and cleanliness. This position is responsible for providing all our colleagues with an excellent meal experience. You will plan, prep, set-up, and provide quality service in food production for the colleague caf items in accordance with standards and storing guide specifications; and will maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
* Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
* Prepares all items necessary to produce the food for the colleague caf according to the menu provided, and to have items ready for service in a timely manner.
* Be willing to help others in the kitchen whenever possible and necessary.
* Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served. Assures all food is safely prepared and stored, and correctly seasoned and cooked in compliance with managing Chefs direction.
* Promptly communicates food quality or any shortage issues to Chef before the item runs out.
* Handles, stores, labels, dates, and rotates all products properly and in accordance with applicable state laws.
* Comply with and enforce all safety and health department procedures as well as LErmitage and/or departmental policies/procedures, including all state and federal laws.
* Keeps the colleague cafeteria clean, including but not limited to all tables, chairs, floor, refrigerators, equipment, and storage areas.
* Maintains all condiments, napkins, silverware, dishes and drinking cups at a level to fulfill needs of colleagues.
* The ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent Hotel data.

* Must poses a positive attitude and work well with other team members.
* Ability to communicate in English both verbal and non-verbal.

**Physical Requirements:**
* Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill necessary tasks.
* Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
* Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours in length.
* Must be able to work: Under variable temperature conditions (or extreme heat or cold), variable noise levels, around chemicals.
**Qualification Standards:**
* **Education:** High school graduate or equivalent education preferred.
* **Language:** Bi-lingual in English/Spanish preferred.
* **Experience:** Over 2 years previous experience in a similar position in a luxury hotel preferred
* **Licenses or Certificates:** Serve Safe required
* **Grooming:** All colleagues must maintain a neat, and well-groomed appearance (specific standards will be provided)
