DescriptionOdawa Casino ResortJob DescriptionJob Title:Cage Mainbank Position Reports: Cage Supervisor Department:CageMinimum Pay Rate:$17.476 per hourJob Code:MAINCRPay Grade:FIN3Date Written:07/26/2005Last Update:01/01/2024Job Summary: Responsible for the efficient operation, on an assigned shift, of the Cage Department in accordance with Odawa Casino Resort's established policies, procedures and controls.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- May perform 'Supervisory' functions, including: maintaining proper staffing levels within the Cage, based on business needs, by reducing staff or calling staff; delegates staff assignments; provides for the fair and equitable treatment of Team Members while maintaining a positive work environment; supervise, train, schedule and counsel Cage Team Members with regard to daily operations
- Oversees Cage Cashier duties, assisting them as needed with completing tasks
- Assists in ensuring Team Members are properly trained in Title 31 and other necessary compliance areas
- Responsible for balancing opening and closing Cage accountability and submitting same, with supporting documentation to Revenue Audit
- Maintains and safeguards funds within the Cage/Vault
- Monitors and recommends increases to vault cash levels
- Processes outgoing deposits and incoming deliveries of cash
- Maintains proper levels of money in patron kiosks, performing drops and adding cash as needed
- Provides test monies to Slot and Count Team Members
- Verifies revenue from outlets and Count teams
- Provides banks and operating funds to outlets
- Processes Slot Department banks and jackpots
- Processes Table Games fill and/or credit requests
- Completes exchanges with cashiers to maintain drawer impresses
- Adheres to all appropriate Tribal, federal, state and local laws and Tribal Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) regulations, as applicable
- Adheres to Cage policy and procedures
- Greet all guests and Team Members in a friendly, open manner.
- Conducts oneself in a positive and professional manner, acting as a role model for all Team Members.
- Maintain knowledge of all current and upcoming promotions and events at Odawa Casino Resort.
- Attends all meetings as required
- Completes all required training satisfactorily
- Maintains the highest level of confidentiality at all times
- May work at other properties
- Performs all other duties as assigned within the scope of the position

- High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of one (1) year of cash-handling experience.
- Must read, write and speak English fluently.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Must have proficient computer experience to operate the key systems above as well as operate a ten-key calculator by touch, with a high degree of accuracy and speed.
- Position requires the substantial use of hands, fingers and wrists, and must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be flexible with shifts and days off with the ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and special events, etc., as needed.
- Position requires exposure to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke filled environment.
- You may be required to pass a skills assessment test to determine if you meet the minimum qualifications of the position.
- Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the LTBB Gaming Regulatory Commission, and be able to serve in the position under any other applicable law.
