This position is essential to the daily care of research animals Position Responsibilities
- Cleans cages, feeding equipment, and animal rooms.
- Sprays disinfectants and mops floors and walls.
- Washes and sterilizes cages and other materials.
- Prepares, cleans, and maintains equipment for daily use.
- Performs cage washer and autoclave quality assurance
- Assists in maintaining a sanitary environment throughout the animal facility.
- Performs occasional weekend, holiday, and overtime work as required by the needs of the animal facility
Position Requirements EDUCATION: High School or EquivalentEXPERIENCE: 0-1 yearsSKILLS:
- Experience working with or around laboratory animals preferred.
- A valid driver's license is required.
PHYSICAL: Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
