Rivkin Radler LLP has an immediate full-time opening for a Calendar Coordinator in our Liability Defense department. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of legal calendaring experience. Experience with and proficiency in CompuLaw is required. Hybrid work environment - 3 days in the office, 2 days at home. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Maintain the firm's calendar system; determine and enter litigation deadlines for State and Federal courts.
  • Interpret civil rules of procedure in State and Federal courts and accurately calculate deadlines, be knowledgeable of local court rules and procedures, and have experience with filings in State and Federal court.
  • Handle calendaring matters before the Public Employment Relations Board and the Office of Administrative Hearings.
  • Prepare and distribute daily and weekly calendar reports to each office and process all calendar requests submitted by attorneys and support staff.
  • Prepare daily assignments for our attorneys for court appearances, trials, arbitrations, mediations and depositions. Monitor appearances and track and record all resolutions, adjournments and continuances.
  • Calendar, track and schedule motions, arbitrations, conferences, bench trials and examinations under oath with the court, the American Arbitration Association and the insurance carriers.
  • Responsible for entering all discovery dates so ordered from the court into CompuLaw.
  • Coordinate depositions, examinations under oath and 50-H Hearings with witnesses and all counsel.
  • Schedule zooms and in person depositions. Secure stenographers and interpreters and venues, make sure to remain within the guidelines and in accordance with the insurance carriers.
  • Knowledge of the Judge's rules and establishing a liaison with the Law Secretary of each particular judge.
  • Obtain documents as need by our attorneys from the court.
