This position requires attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the entirety of their shift. Must be highly organized, work well under pressure, and understand the importance of deadlines. The ideal candidate will relate and adapt to people/circumstances in various situations, be highly trustworthy, self-sufficient, and use good judgment.

  • Performs clerical functions of scanning and printing of all documents.
  • Scans, verifies, and uploads documents in database.
  • Receives, scans, and organizes legal documents.
  • Organizes, reviews, and maintains documents in a paper or electronic filing systems
  • Updates database information
  • Retrieves data from the database or electronic files as requested
  • Sorts and organizes paperwork after entering data
  • Front Office duties including: Answering phones, most client relation matters, and processing incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Confirm that each required appearance is assigned to an attorney or is being assigned to a per-diem appearing attorney.
  • Prepare and update Daily Supreme Court Calendar for Attorneys.
  • Revise and maintain Appellate Calendar.
  • Coordinate with clients, witnesses, lawyers, and outside vendors to schedule interviews, meetings, and depositions.
  • Alerts attorneys of incoming court papers, notices, and impending deadlines.
  • Prepare Stipulations to adjourn motions and to extend deadlines.
  • Flexible with all other duties assigned
Qualifications and Performance Expectations
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal License Preferred.
  • Must have Legal Calendaring Experience.
  • Strong Command of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to prioritize in a high-speed environment.
  • Experience with administrative and clerical procedures.
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality of all records and files.
  • Understands legal terminology specific to the rules of procedure.
  • Appreciates deadlines and proactively ensures strict adherence with sufficient advance application.
  • Effective comprehension of procedural history for communicating updates to clients.
