Job DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Calendar Specialist is responsible for accurately and promptly entering all deadlines in accordance with firm policies, ensuring compliance and efficient management of litigation and transactional calendars.
Representative Key Responsibilities- Calculate court deadlines and ensure accuracy in all entries.
- Maintain and update the Firm's litigation and transactional calendar/docket.
- Apply relevant court rules and procedures to calendaring tasks.
- Facilitate court filings through various external services.
- Assist in researching and addressing calendaring inquiries from multiple offices within the Firm.
Required Education, Knowledge and Experience- Bachelor's degree or experience as a litigation paralegal.
- Minimum of two years of calendaring experience with CompuLaw (or similar docketing software); exceptional candidates with one year of experience may be considered.
- Prior experience in a law firm or related legal environment is required.
Required Skills and Abilities- Ability to collaborate with all organizational levels in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient spelling and grammatical skills are essential.
- Service-oriented mindset, capable of working effectively within a small team and with personnel across multiple offices.
Physical Requirements of the Position- Must be able to lift a file box (approximately 20 lbs.)
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
